Unicorn Milkshake with Almond Milk & Chai
Ingredients:
2 cups almond milk
2 tablespoons Indian chai leaves (loose or in tea bags)
3-4 scoops vanilla ice cream
1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup (optional, for sweetness)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
Pink, blue, and purple food coloring
Whipped cream
Rainbow sprinkles or edible glitter (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of almond milk to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Add the Indian chai leaves and let them steep for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and strain the chai-infused almond milk to remove the tea leaves. Allow the milk to cool completely. You can place it in the refrigerator to speed up the cooling process.
In a blender, combine the cooled chai-infused almond milk, vanilla ice cream, honey or agave syrup (if using), vanilla extract, and ground cardamom. Blend until smooth and creamy.
Divide the milkshake mixture evenly into three separate bowls. Add a few drops of pink food coloring to one bowl, blue food coloring to another, and purple food coloring to the third bowl. Mix each bowl until the desired color is achieved.
To create the unicorn effect, take a clear glass or mason jar and start by pouring a layer of pink milkshake into the bottom. Carefully add a layer of blue milkshake on top, followed by a layer of purple milkshake. Repeat this layering process until the glass is filled.
Top the unicorn milkshake with a generous amount of whipped cream. You can use a piping bag or simply spoon it on top.
Optional: Sprinkle rainbow sprinkles or edible glitter over the whipped cream for a magical touch.
Serve the unicorn milkshake immediately with a straw and enjoy!
Note: If you prefer a stronger chai flavor, you can increase the amount of Indian chai leaves or steep them for a longer time. You can also add other traditional Indian spices like cinnamon or nutmeg for additional flavor. Have fun and embrace the magical unicorn vibes!
